An opening weekend real estate sell-out is always a special event. But in this market, it’s almost unheard of. That’s why it feels especially gratifying to be part of Polygon Homes’ sell-out success for the first phase of their new master-planned community in North Delta, BC.
DfR was brought on board early on to help build anticipation for Sunstone, the first new large-scale residential development in North Delta in more than 20 years. From initial envisioning sessions and project theming right through to site signage, direct mail campaign, brochure, and Presentation Centre, DfR worked closely with Polygon to communicate the many unique amenities and features of the Sunstone community. In fact, it was eye-catching site signage along Nordel Way that got the campaign off to a strong start, generating thousands of pre-registrations months before sales commenced.
Clearly, the campaign struck the right chord as interested homebuyers began to line up at the Presentation Centre a day before the grand opening, eager to get a closer look at Radiance, the first collection of townhomes to be released at Sunstone, and learn details of the plans to develop the community as an urban village complete with resort-style clubhouse, pathways, play areas, green zones, and shopping village. When the doors finally opened on Saturday morning, there were 200 people in line. Sales were extremely swift and all available homes were sold out within three hours.
This highly successful launch was truly a team effort, and is particularly remarkable given the Lower Mainland’s slowing real estate market. DfR is excited to build on this initial success and get to work on campaigns for Sunstone’s next home collections. A three-hour sell-out will be hard to beat – but we’re up for the challenge!
